Muzorewa men held
NZPA-Reuter Salisbury The Rhodesian police are reported to have arrested three supporters of the former Prime Minister, Bishop Abel Muzorewa, after a grenade attack on the home of the black guerrilla leader, Robert Mugabe. Bishop Muzorewa, who became Rhodesia’s first black Prime Minister last year after winning a white-spon-sored election, issued a statement condemning the attack on Mr Mugabe. He added: “It must be accepted that in any organisation there are rogue elements who will involve themselves in acts of banditry.” The grenade thrown at Mr Mugabe’s home exploded harmlessly against a concrete wall. Two men driving away were arrested by the police and a third man was picked up later. The attacks were the eighth and ninth against political figures since election campaigning began in earnest two months ago.
