Fuel experiment
More than 200 Ministry of Works vehicles engaged on the Upper Waitaki power development scheme will switch to a methanol-petrol blend next week in an experiment which could provide guide-lines for future fuel use. The use of the blend in cars, pickups, and trucks willbe closely monitored over the next 12 months to gauge its performance in varying temperatures. (P.A.)
