No Wran ‘snub’

NZPA Sydney The Premier of New South Wales, Mr Neville Wran, yesterday denied he had been snubbed during his three day trip to New Zealand. At Sydney Airport yesterday Mr Wran said New Zealand’s Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) had treated him with the greatest courtesy. He said the “snub” reported in the Australian press had occurred when Mr Muldoon was tied up

in an “extremely important Cabinet meeting over the Afghanistan crisis.” Mr Wran said his trade talks with Mr Muldoon and other Ministers had set the ball rolling for greater co-operation between New South Wales and Nevi' Zealand. He said that in the next few weeks further talks would be held in Sydney between state Ministers and the New Zealand Ministers for Trade and Agriculture.
