Library going to public
Canterbury Public Library staff will take a stall to suburban shopping centres this month to promote the library.
The stall, which is brightly decorated, will carry magazines and books chosen to show the range of information that is available in libraries.
Members of the public will be able to join the library and take books or magazines from the stand. A competition, with a bicycle as the prize, will be run for children. • The stall' will function in the mornings only. It will visit the following places: Shirley Post Office (January 8), Barrington Park Mall (January 10), Northlands Shopping Centre (January 11), Aranui Post Office (January 15), New Brighton Mall (January 16), Merivale Shopping Centre (January 17), South Mall, Sydenham (January 18), Waltham Shopping Centre (January 22), and Rowley Shops (January 23).
