Two girls die in Bay of Plenty accidents

PA Rotorua Two girls died in road accidents in the. Bay of Plenty late on Tuesday. They were:— Leslev Raewyn Garthwaite, aged 16, a student, of Rotorua, and Jean Angela Morgan, aged two, address unknown. Miss Garthwaite - was _ a passenger in a car which was involved in a collision with another vehicle I.6km south of Earthquake Valley Road.

The driver of the car,

Peter William Archibald, aged 17, of Rotorua, was reported to be comfortable in Rotorua Hospital. Another girl passenger in the car was reported to be in the hospital’s intensivecare unit, blit her name and injuries were not. released. The occupant of the other car was not injured. Jean Angela Morgan was a passenger in .a car which rolled on j State Highway 1 about 9km south of Turangi. Two other people were injured in the accident.
