Revellers arrested

The-jyouijg -men and one girft ’hitayk.from Auckland and;TWslihgton,' were ar-rested-by-the police during a disturbance , and will appear in . -the Magistrates ■ Court of • Tauranga today. - The' charge's include disorderly conduct and obstructing the police. The trouble ; started v soon after 11 p.m. when heavy rain and thunderstorms abated and a crowd of about 600 began to assemble along Marine Parade. The head of the Tauranga police (Inspector P. T. Goodyear) said the crowd had dispersed by 1.30 a.m. leay-
ing behind a “disgusting amount” of broken glass on the road and beachfront.
