By 808 SCHUMACHER ( After finishing second at his) four previous starts, Arithmetic, broke through for a deserved win in the final of the Tux Flying Stakes for class-eight' greyhounds at the Christchurch club’s totalistor meeting at Queen Elizabeth 11 Park last evening. At his last start almost two' months ago. Arithmetic finished a game but distant second to, his litter sister Lisa Havoc, in the New Zealand championship. Last evening the positions! were reversed, Lisa Havoc, thei dominating favourite, running aj splendid race but not being able; to overtake her brother. Arithmetic is owned b\ George! Tait and Jock Walsh,and trained! by Tait at Oxford. He was] paraded in magnificent order and raced accordingly. Walsh is the owner of Lisa Havoc. Both Arthimetic and Lisa Havoc will leaxe toda’ for Weli lington where the? will contest the heats of th? Wellington Cup. They should oualiiy comfortably.
