Have you seen this man?
Christchurch detectives want to speak to this man concerning the stabbing of lan Francis Hampton at Addington on December 21. He is Kerry Alfred Sampson, aged 24, a European, about 175 cm (sft 9in) tall, of medium build, with black hair and green eyes. He has a cross tattooed on the back of the right hand, dots and lines tattooed on the fingers of the right hand, and the initials “J.L.” tattooed on the back of the left hand. According to the officer in charge of the inquiry (Detective Inspector P. S. Seaman) Mr Sampson is associated with the Epitaph Riders motorcycle gang. He said that any person who had seen Mr Sampson, or might know his whereabouts, should get in touch with the Christchurch police immediately. Mr Hampton, aged 20, was fatally stabbed outside a house at 32 Braddon Street, Addington, about 10.30 p.m. last Friday. One person has already been charged with his murder.
