Adelaide’s sympathy
Christchurch’s sister city of Australia, Adelaide, has reacted to the news of the Air New Zealand crash in Antarctica with a telegram of sympathy. In a message to the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr H. G. Hay), the Lord Mayor of Adelaide (Mr James Bowen) writes:
“Deeply shocked to learn of the tragic crash of the Air New Zealand Antarctic flight. Please convey deepest sympathy of all citizens of Adelaide to all relatives of victims. Our thoughts are with you and the search teams at this time.”
