CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL CITY DOGS ENTERING RURAL DISTRICTS REGULATIONS making it the responsibility of dog owners to have their dogs treated for hydatids during the period of 42 davs prior to their being taken into a rural area are still in force. To assist dog owners to fulfil this responsibility the Council’s Hydatids Control Officers will be available on all working days from Thursday, December 13 to Friday, December 21. As only a limited number of dogs can be treated each day early appointments for treatment are necessarv and owners wishing to avail themselves of the service should telephone 791-660, extension 836 not later than 48 hours prior to the desired day of treatment. Normal services will continue from Monday, January 7, 1980. A certificate of treatment which must accompany the dog when it enters a rural district will be issued bv the officer. J H.
