BP profit rose five-fold
NZPA-Reuter London British Petroleum (BP) earned profits of L561.7M in the three months to September more than five times more than for the previous quarter. A BP spokesman said the big increase in profits was due to rises in the price of crude oil, improved refining and marketing in Europe, and a greater contribution from the company’s United States subsidiary, Sohio.
