BP to drill well on N.-W. shelf
NZPA Sydney BP Australia. Ltd, is expanding its activities on the North-West shelf of Australia through the acquisition of a 55 per cent interest in the Oxoco Consortium’s exploration permit (WA-62-I PlUnder the agreement with the consortium members, BP Petroleum Development Australia Pty, Ltd, will bear the entire cost of drilling a test [well. The well, which' will cost BP up to SSM, is scheduled for drilling during the first quarter of 1980 when a rig becomes available. On completion of the farm-in, the participants in the area will be AAR, Ltd, Australian Oil and Gas Corporation, Bridge Oil, Ltd, Endeavour Resources, Ltd, and Offshore Oil, NL, with 4.5 per cent each: Oxoco
International Inc, with 9 per cent; Peyto Exploration Inc, j and Voyager Petroleum, Ltd,: with 6.75 per cent each, and BP Petroleum with 55 per! cent. * The permit coveres an area of 20,270 square kilometres in shallow waters I offshore from Port Headland. |
