Many calls to pilot’s family
PA Hamilton The Auckland family of the ■ DCIO pilot. Captain T. J.i Collins, have been flooded 1 with sympathy calls from; ’throughout New Zealand. Mr John Collins, whose brother’s aircraft crashed in the Antarctic last Wednesday [killing 257, said the calls had been a source of great com-, ilort to the family. 1 Captain Collins was married, with three daughters. Mr Collins said most of the I calls had come from people who did not know the family.’ The families of other crash victims have been receiving 1 similarly sympathetic calls. [ A Hamilton woman who; lost both her parents in the accident said the understanding shown by people around; her had been a real blessing. 1 Air New Zealand officials have personally' visited relatives of those killed, and staff have been specially assigned] to helping the grief-strickem families. Wreaths have been! sent to immediate families! bv the airline.
