Mr D. Turner, export manager of Turners and Growers, Ltd, who was chosen to address the annual convention of the Produce Marketing Association of the United States at Phoenix, Arizona. The association is made up of fruit, vegetable, and flower growers, and merchants and retailers, throughout the United States. Mr Turner’s subject was New Zealand fresh fruits and vegetable exporting to the United States. It was the first time a New Zealander had been the principal speaker at the convention, which w’as attended this year by more than 1000.
