Drug charge trial
' A man. in the Magistrate’s : Court '-esterday, was cornemitted to the Supreme Court jfor trial on a charge of supplying a class A controlled drug, lysergide (LSD) to an undercover policeman on August 6. The defendant. Hamish iKeith McDougall, aged 25. an unemployed pastrycook, pleaded not guilty to the charge and elected trial by jury. I - After .the depositions of
four prosecution witnesses had been admitted by consent bv the defendant’s counsel (Mr S. C. Barker), Messrs M. B. Hayes and R. C. Holland, Justices of the Peace, found there was a case to answer to the charge. They remanded the defendant in custody pending his trial, on a date to be fixed. Mr Barker made no submissions and reserved his defence.
