Nelson Cup now $4450
Tne Nelson Cup, to be run at Richmond Park on Saturday, January 26, will be the richest race on the calendar for C 3 pacers. The stake has been increased to $4450 from $3300 last year. Wort h-while increases have been applied to all other races apart from the T h r e e-year-old Classic, which remains unchanged at $4OOO. Maiden horses will race for $l6OO, an increase of $2OO. The same increase will apply to Cl races, which will now be worth $lBOO. Races for C2 horses will now be worth $2lOO, an increase of $3OO. The main C 3 race on the second day of the meeting on January 28 will be worth $3OOO, $350 more than last year.
