Man dies in fire
PA Invercargill j Fire swept through an! Ohai house on Tuesday, > killing the occupant. He was John Olympus Poutu, aged: 33. Mr Poutu’s wife and five children, aged between six months and eight years, were in Invercargill when the fire broke out. A passing volunteer fireman spotted the fire about 1.20 a.m. The Ohai Volunteer Fire Brigade had the fire under control by 1.40 a.m. Mr Poutu’s body was found when firemen wearing breathing apparatus searched the house.
