Forum for children
Topics ranging from dogs fouling footpaths to the Prime Minister’s term of office will be discussed by school children at a forum on Friday to be chaired by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr H. G. Hay). The forum will be one of the last Christchurch activities for the International Year of the Child. More than 20 children from Christchurch intermediate schools will speak for up to two minutes each on a selected topic
followed by a discussion. The children have been asked to select the subject which they consider to be of main community concern. Two of the speakers have been selected by ballot to represent Christchurch at the National Council of Children to be held at Parliament Buildings on December 3. They are Victoria Willis, of Kirkwood Intermediate I School, and Phillip Hub- j bard, of Branston Inter- I mediate School. I
