Self help in action at new shops
Self help in action on the Charles Street frontage of the new Hansen Block last week. Mr Hector McAllister and his wife, Mabie, setting in
place more than 700 bedding plants they had grown themselves. Mr McAllister is deputy mayor and chairman of the Reserves and Harbour
Committee. The site of the , block is a harbour reserve. Eventually, the plants will | be replaced by permanent, low growing greenery.
