Branch of Sound Shop
Kaiapoi will have its only branch shop of any local business when D.K.’s Sound Shop is opened in early December in the new Hansen block. It will be a branch of Dave Kimber TV and Sound, Ltd, which is situated in the main shopping area south of the river. Since 1968, when the firm began on another site, there has been steady development. The latest move has been made possible by the securing of additional franchises of all leading makes in sound and television, enabling as wide a range as anywhere in Christchurch. The new branch, managed by Mr Graeme Maxwell will have a striking concept in interior design. “Sound in nature and fact,” says Mr David Kimber. The latest high fidelity and associated electronic gear will be featured and a listening post will make it easier to choose from an extended range of up to 2000 records and cassettes. Telephone extension with the main shop will enable Mr Maxwell to obtain assistance as the need arises. Both shops will be supported by an efficient service for deliveries, correct
house installations regardless of any special need,
pre-wiring for equipment in new houses and repairs.
