Men guilty on drugs conspiracy charge
PA Auckland A jury in the Supreme Court at Auckland yesterday, returned verdicts of [guilty and not guilty against [two men charged with drug [offences. The jury retired for four hours and a quarter before finding Brian James Curtis, aged 45, a self-employed property developer, of Glen Eden, and David Andrew Fisher, aged 32. a panelbeater, of Remuera, not guilty on a charge of con- ! spiring together with Susan [Florence Rennie (or Skipper) [to import heroin and can'nabis. But the jury found Curtis i guilty on a charge of con- | spiring with Rennie to imiport heroin and cannabis. On a third charge the jury found the two men guilty of conspiring together to import cannabis. They had pleaded not guilty to a charge of conspiring together to import heroin and cannabis. , Both men were acquitted ion a further charge of conspiring together with Rennie to import heroin and cannabis. The two men were convicted by Mr Justice Vautier and remanded for sentence.
