Words on the screen
Another news medium may join newspapers, television, and radio in New Zealand next year. It is computer-based text transmitted to television screens. Such systems are already transmitting information to home television sets in Britain and the United States, and research is being done in other countries. It is expected that home television sets may be converted for the service for as little as SI 00 each. The details are in the computer feature, Pages 16 and 17.
