Thia position involves supervised research into patterns of national and sub-national population growth and distrlbution and analysis of trends t ba demographic variables — fertility, mortality, migration and marriage— using statistical techniques. Qualifications required are a degree with Pure Mathematics, Geogrephv. Sociology, Economics or Stall Wirt as the major subjects. Geography, Economics and Sociology graduates will be considered provided they have Pure Mathematics or Statistics to stage U leveL Some experience la computer programmine would be an advantage but is not essential.
