7.00: GEMINI MAN. Sam is assigned to a dangerous helicopter mission over a war-ravaged African country. 8.00: BARNEY MILLER. The inauguration of a new city mayor is marked by an unusually hectic morning for the detectives. 8.30: ARMCHAIR THRILLER. “A Dog’s Ransom.” Now a murder suspect Clarence is questioned about Kowajinski’s death and returns home wondering about his future career as a policeman. (Concluding a three-part story).
7.30: THE FANTASTIC JOURNEY. Scott is abducted by a group of boys who forbid adults to live in the ruins of their futuristic city. 8.30: WHO PAYS THE FERRYMAN? Intense jealousy leads to a raging inferno on Easter Day, the date of the annua! boat race.
9.30: NEWS, WEATHER. 9.45: WORLD IN ACTION. “Living Dangerously.” This programme studies the tragic effects of the chemical Dioxin on the Italian town of Seveso after a factory explosion in 1976. 10.15: THE PRISONER. The Pisoner escapes to London but is unable to find freedom. (Repeat). 11.10: SPORTS SPECIAL. Southern 500 motor race; the Pan Pacific swimming championships at Christchurch: and the World Cup tennis grand final between Mac’nroe and Borg. 2.45 a.m.: ALL BLACKS v. ITALY.
