Two hurt in crash
Firemen with rescue equipment were called in after two cars collided at the intersection of Ham Road and Clyde Road, Fendalton, about 12.50 p.m. yesterday. It had been reported that a man was trapped in the wreckage but he had been freed by St John ambulancemen by the time the Fire Service arrived. Two men were taken to Christchurch Hospital with minor injuries. Both were treated and discharged.
St John ambulancemen were not called to any other injury accidents yesterday, which they described as the quietest Sunday for some time.
