M. A. Butt suspended

PA Timaru The Templetton driver, M. A. Butt, had bis horseman’s licence suspended up to and including December 15 at the Geraldine Trotting Club s Meeting at Orari on Saturday. Butt, the driver of Chileno in the Geraldine Handicap, was found guilty of careless driving after Chileno moved out quickly with 150 m to run, causing Avalon to Rocketing Star, First Encounter and Wee Willow were also checked in the same incident. Del Miller, which was placed fifth in the Stewarts Handicap, was subsequently disqualified for galloping over the concluding stages of the race. Fey Garrison was promoted to fifth place.
