PA Wellington Two members of Federated Farmers’ cadet scheme have been selected for travelling scholarships to the United Kingdom next year. The winners were chosen from candidates put forward by provincial farm cadet schemes throughout the country.

They are Richard Ellis, aged 21, of Pakuranga, who is a member of the Auckland cadet scheme; and Barbara Sutton, aged 19, of Wellington, who works on a dairy farm at Rahotu, Taranaki. They will spend about nine months in the United Kingdom where they will stay on several types of farms.
