Order of St Lazarus
Sir, — Such archaic snobbery (“The Press,” November 1). If Christian love and charity can only be given through belonging to exclusive clubs then we are in worse shape than 1 thought. I am sad such a charade took place in a Catholic Church.. I only hope no Catholics took part. I could not bear the shame. The Mormons, Fundamentalists, etc., who are excluded should rejoice and be glad. The rest of us will have to walk by on the other side until our pedigrees are checked. — Yours, etc., lAN BLISSETT, Blenheim. November, 1, 1979.
