Refuse hearings this month
Hearings of objections to the proposed Styx Mill Road, rubbish transfer station will' begin on. November 13. About 800 objections have 1 been received, and seven days set aside to hear them.' About 620 objectors have! nominated the Redwood Action Committee to act on their behalf. The hearings committee will be Cr I. Calvert, chair-[ man of the Waimairi County Council town-planning committee, and. Crs E. L. Bonisch and H. M. Tait, also 1 members of the town-plan- 1 ning committee. ) Council to designate land on [, the north side of Styx Mill , i Road east of Cavendish [Road for a public work (a refuse transfer station) as ‘iptrt of the total metropolii tan refuse disposal scheme. The committee’s decision, ii if approved by the Waimairi ■ County Council, will be passed as a recommendation to the Refuse Disposal Committee, with rights of appeal [to the Planning Tribunal by all parties. The hearing will be at the Fenda 1 t o n Community Centre Hall from 6.30 p.m to 11 p.m. on November 13 ;to November 15; from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. on November 16; from 8.30 a m. to 12.30 p.m. on November 17; and from 6.30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on November 20 and November 22.
