One city dairy owner said: that fireworks were more] expensive than last year, rockets retailing between 30c]
and 70c, bangers at 25c to 155 c, and erupting crackers at. 16c to 50c. Bags of firecrackers in $5 ' to $8 mixed lots were prov-; , ing popular with parents, and, children were spending $2 Ito $3. choosing mostly! crackers and rockets. People had spent up to $lO on fireworks, and some ]had put in orders as high as $2O at one dairy. •
