Top carver
PA Rotorua! Mr Tuti Tukaokao, tutor in Maori carving and culture at the Tauranga Boys’ College, has been appointed master carver at the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, Rotorua. Mr Tukaokao, a former assistant to the previous master carver, the late John Taiapa, has a long record of achievements in Maori carving and culture.
