Sir, — Re “Clyde dams fate.” (“The Press." October 5) the desire of the present

Government to employ its “skilled work-force and sophisticated machinery” to generate confidence, rather than excessive and expensive electricity, is laudable. May I suggest, since there is a high capital investment in road-making machinery, that the entire country be covered with asphalt for similar reasons? — Yours, etc., HOWARD DENGATE. October 5, 1979.
