Nursing degree

PA Dunedin The establishment of a university nursing degree is expected to be included in a study of the future of nursing education in Otago being prepared for the Otago Hospital Board. The degree has been mooted by the University of Otago, which has applied to the University

Grants Committee for a quinenniai grant to support the degree. The idea has not been officially put before the Otago Hospital Board but according to its chairman (Mrs Dorothy Fraser) some members have felt for a number of years that there is a need for a university nursing degree.
