Tenders /3h New Zealand Mix Forest Service LIME SPREADING BALMORAL FOREST WRITTEN tenders are invited for the supply, cartage and spreading of agricultural lime at Balmoral Forest. The lime will be spread on designated firebreaks at a rate of 2.5 tonnes per hectare. A total of 195 tonnes of lime will be spread over 78 hectares of firebreak. Prospective tenderers may inspect the area by arrangement with the Officer in Charge Balmoral Forest telephone Culverden 226. The successful tenderer will commence work as soon as the contract is signed. Radiata and P. nigra at Eyrewell Forest. The trees will yield material suitable to manufacture mainly posts, stays and strainers. Details:— Two separate blocks are concerned. A Block L Compartment 9/3 (Radiata and Nigra) Area approximately 17.5 ha. It is estimated to produce approximately 11 m3//ha (Radiata) and 38 m3/ha (Nigra). BLOCK 2 Compartment 30/4 and 30/6 (Nigra) Area approximately 8 ha. Is estimated to produce approximately 25 m3/ha for 30/4 and 40 m3/ha for 30/6.
