Tempest Tiger causing concern

Tempest Tiger, one of tiie most impressive winners on the first night of the recent natlonal meeting, has not been worked since that race. Her owner-trainer, Kevin Ryder, put her aside in her paddock and four days later noticed heavy swelling in one front and one hind leg. “The swelling has gone down now and at no stage

was she sore,” said Ryder. “There is still a little swelling in the foreleg and once that subsides she will undergo a veterinary examination.” Ryder added that the foreleg which was injured earlier in the year is "perfect” and he was baffled as to the cause of the trouble. “If we find the slightest problem I’ll put her aside for six months,” he said.
