Shield challenge
A new date for the Southbridge Shield rugby match between North Canterbury •nd Ellesmere will probably be decided this evening. Ellesmere's challenge against the holder at the Rangiora Showgrounds on Saturday
was postponed because of the wet weather. The postponement is likely to welcomed by both coaches, especially the North Canterbury senior coach, who had many key players not available through comi mitments to the Canterbury ’ A and B teams.
