Arrest of women ordered
PA Auckland Two hitch-hikers picked up and taken to a South Island police station by a farmer who suspected they had broken into his house failed to appear in the Magistrate’s Court in Auckland yesterday. Mr J. H. Hall, S.M., issued warrants for the arrest of Theresa Susan Barlow, aged 21 and Karrena Anne Campbell. aged 25, both of Auck- : land.
Barlow had earlier pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court in Dunedin to breaking and entering the farmer’s house at Hillgrove. Campbell had pleaded guilty to receiving from Barlow a diamond ring which she knew had been stolen.
They had been remanded on $5OO bail for a probation officers report and sentencing.
