Sheepdog ‘arrested’
Several hundred dollars worth of Old English sheepdog was “arrested” by the police in Cathedral Square last evening. The dog, found roaming in the Square about 7 p.m., was taken to the Christchurch central police station before being given to a Christchurch City Council dog ranger. Old English sheepdogs sell for $2OO or more as pups. The police said that the one taken in custody last evening had been wandering about the inner city for some time.
