D.F.C. and the Govt
The corporation is wholly-owned by the state, although the directors exercise autonomy in making its decisions within the limits of the Developin'. Finance Corporation Act, 1973.
The D.F.C. works in the priv .< sector of the New Zealand economy with the objective of encouraging and promoting the development of New Zealand industry. However, the corporation does have links with Government departments while maintaining independence, and increasingly assisting policy-makers.
