Badminton lost again
Canterbury has been beaten in the national Division II badminton final for the seventeenth successive year. Auckland beat. Canterbury, 15 matches to one, at Auckland during the week-end; Canterbury’s sole success came in a mixed doubles match. Canterbury has unsuccessfully represented the South Island every year since 1962, but while Auckland had to play seven matches to reach the final, Canterbury won through by virtue of victories over Otago and Southland in a triangular series last month.
