Crowd down; bets up
Although the crowd of 6500 was down 500 on last year, the Metropolitan Trotting Club had a successful start to the season on Satur-
day. On-course betting rose by $24,910 to $341,444, while the off-course total was $753,824.50, an increase of $125,004.
