Grounding of DC10s cost $8.8M
PA Wellington The direct cost to Air New Zealand of the grounding of DC 10 aircraft earlier this year was $B.B million, said the Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McLachlan) yesterday. However, it would be some time before the longterm costs of things such as the emotional impact of the grounding in prospective passengers would be known, he said, in answer to a question in Parliament.
