They should have some teaching experience, and demonstrated ability and active interest in pursuing research. The appointees will be . expected and encouraged to conduct research. There are good facilities and opportunities for collaboration with other research workers in the Botany Department and in groups located nearby. CONDITIONS OF APPOINTMENT Salaries will be in accordance with qualifications and experience within the range: Senior Lecturer - $21,858-825,477; Lecturer - $16,291-$21,401; Senior Tutor - $14,041-816,805; Tutor - $11,579-$13,633 per annum. Australian currency. Appointment as Lecturer/Senior Lecturer is for three years in the first instance with the possibility of reappointment, after review to age 65. Tutor's and Senior Tutors are appointed on a yearly basis up to a maximum of five years. Reasonable appointment expenses are paid. Travel expenses for Tutors and Senior Tutors however, are paid only for persons appointed from within Australia Or New Zealand.
