i Public Notices AIR SERVICES I LICENSING ACT 1951 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Section 26 of the Air Services Licensing Act 1951, the Licensing Authority will hold a public meeting at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesday, the 29th day of August, 1979. in the Conference Room, 9th Floor, Custom House, Quay Street. Auckland, to consider applications to amend Air Senice Licence Nos. 796, 798. 799 and 800 in tlie name of Air New Zealand Limited, Private Bag, Auckland, as follows:— (a) AIR SERVICE LICENCE No. 796: As described in the schedule hereunder. (b) AIR SERVICE LICENCE No. 798: (1) Increase Air Charter rates per hour by Hi per cent to:— Bristol 170 $761. Argosy 222 SI 836. , (c) AIR SERVICE LICENCE No. 799: Increase Air Charter rates per hour for the aircraft authorised on the licence by 111 per cent as follows: (1) Boeing 737 to $2364 per hour. (ii) Fokker F 27-100 to $624 pei- hour. (Hi) Fokker F 27-500 to $756 per hour. (iv) Douglas DCB to $3563 per hour. (v) Douglas DCIO to $6085 per hour. (vi) Hawker Slddeley 748 to $756 per hour. Amend • the authorised fleet by deleting one DCIO (256 seats) and one DCB (131 seats) and adding one DCIO ( 270 seats), one DCB (156 seats) and two DCS (2 x 134 seats). id) AIR SERVICE LICENCE No. 800 (restricted to goods only): Amend the freight schedules by the amounts as prescribed in the schedule hereunder (except paragraphs (i), (ii), and (xiii). SCHEDULE (i) Increase passenger fares by an average of Hi per cent rounded up or down to the nearest dollar, by revoking Appendix C Issue No. 11 to the Licence and substituting the rate table submitted as Appendix C Issue No. 12. (ii) Amend the table of excess baggage charges by revoking the table in Appendix E Issue No. 1 to the Licence and substituting the new table submitted. (iii) Increase Freightair rates by an average of Hi per cent rounded to the nearest whole cent, by revoking Appendix D Issue No. 9 to the Licence and substituting the rate table submitted as Appendix D Issue No. 10, and increase the minimum charge per consignment from $1.65 to $2. (iv) Delete the City Depot Collection Fee applicable to Freightair consignments and replace it with a “delivery fee” which is payable “unless the sender has specified airport only collection” at the time of acceptance, all consignments will be delivered to the consignee at those cities and towns directly served by the airlrie, with delivery charges of 4 cents per kilo and a minimum charge of $1 per consignment paid by the sender.” (v) Increase jet-X freight rates by an average of Hi per cent rounded to the nearest whole cent by revoking Appendix F Issue No. 3 to the Licence and substituting the rate table submitted as Appendix F issue No. 4, which includes the adjustment of jet-X rates to accord with a distance related formula. (vi) Increase the minimum charge for jet-X consignments from $2.50 to $3 each, and apply the “delivery fee” to jet-X consignments as defined in (iv) above. (vii) Allow discounts of up to 15 per cent on jet-X rates where contracts are negotiated for selected cargoes depending on volume, type and density. (viii) Authorise charges for the on-forwarding of freightair and jet-X consignments beyond the cities and towns directly served by the airline, at a rate of 4 cents per kilogram with a minimum charge of $1.20 per consignment. (ix) Increase the rate per kilogram for Courier-Pak consignments from $l.lO to $1.50 and increase the minimum charge per consignment from $5.50 to $7.50. (x) Allow discounts of up to 15 per cent on CourierPak rates where contracts are negotiated for selected cargoes depending on volume, type and density. (xi) Approve minimum, charges for cats and dogs of $lO each for other live animals, fish, birds and insects, which are individually smaller than cats and dogs, a minimum charge of $6 per consignment, with carriage to be charged at jet-X rates. (xii) Authorise the carriage of “container freight” on pallets or igloos on freighter aircraft at the following rates and subject to the following conditions: (i) For a container weighing up to 1100 kgs or a half container up to 550 kgs the charges per sector to be up to: Sector 1: AKL - WLG - AKL ($566 (container), $283 (half container). Sector 2; WLG - CHC • WLG $420 (container), $2lO (half container). Sector 3: AKL . CHC - AKL $986 (container), $493 (half container). Sector 4: AKL - DUD - AKL $1406 (container), $703 (half container). Sector 5: WLG - DUD - WLG $B4O (container), $420 (half container), and such charges apply upon a round trip basis from, the point of origination of the container or half container to its destination and return. (ii) For containers weighing more than 1100 kgs up to 1500 kgs and half container exceeding 550 kgs and up to 750 kgs the charges per sector for the excess weight beyond 1100 kgs and 550 kgs respectively shall be: Sector 1: AKL - WLG - AKL 25 cents for kg. Sector 2; WLG - CHC WLG 18 cents for kg. Sector 3: AKL - CHC AKL 43 cents per kg. Sector 4: AKL - DUD - AKL 61 cents per kg. Sector 5: WLG - DUD - WLG 36 cents per kg. and such charges shall apply only to the actual sector when a container or half container exceeds the basic weights of HOO kgs or 550 kgs respectively. (iii) The container rate to be payable whether a container weighs 1100 kgs or a half container 550 kgs or not, upon the basis of the space of 4984 cbic decimetres so committed for a container on the freighter aircraft and not therefore otherwise available. (xiii) Amend the seating capacity of the authorised fleet by deleting: 1 DCB 131 ’ seats. 2 DCS 2 x 129 seats. 6 DCIO 6 x 256 seats. and substituting: 1 DCB 156 seats. 2 DCS 2 x 134 seats. 6 DCIO 6 x 270 seats.
