C r —\ jdfcj Financial Controller This position in the Wellington head office of New Zealand’s development bank is vacant following an Internal promotion. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Financial Controller manages the Corporation's accounting, EDP, financial planning, and administration functions. He, or she, is also responsible for ensuring that adequate standards of financial con- > trol and reporting are maintained throughout DFC, and that the financial and accounting systems needs of its regional and functional divisions are met. The Financial Controller heads a group of 25 people who handle the Corporation’s' centralised accounting functions, utilising an IBM System 34 computer. Other management systems are also computer-based. Administration functions include ■management of the Corporation’s office premises . and services. Applicants, probably aged 30-40, should be qualified accountants with good commercial and some management experience. Ideally, they will be familiar with accounting and reporting systems in financial organisations and have a knowledge of EDP. Skill and experience in staff supervision is essential, together with the ability to' participate fully at a senior management level.
