9.6deg. frost in Chch
The 9.6 deg frost which coated Christchurch yesterday morning was one of the heaviest on record. The frost was the second heaviest recorded at Christchurch Airport. The heaviest, 10.1 deg, came in June, 1978, The heaviest Christchurch frost on record was recorded at the Botanic Gardens in June, 1872. It was 14.9 deg.
