Profit of $5177 for Banks Pen.
A profit of $5177 was disclosed In the accounts presented to the annual meeting of the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club held last evening. The club showed a loss of $9142 for the previous year. The retiring president (Mr Les Woods) referred to the success of the club’s two meetings last season, and pointed out that oncourse turnover of $235,498 at the October meeting had been a record.
Tlie club will in future receive a greater amount for each class from CO to C 3 from the stakes subsidy scheme of the Racing Authority. As a result stakes for Its meeting on October 6 wIU be increased by from $275 to $3OO for every race. Mr George Mugford was elected president of the club.
