Soccer leader stays
Two penalties helped Gladstone to beat Pharaohs, 3-1. and hold on to the lead in the first division of the Umbro International Sunday soccer league yesterday. Avonhead A scored twice in the last lOmin to beat Condor, 3-0, comfortably, while Stephen Booth scored three times to give Forresters a 4-2 win over North Beach A.
Ricky Frampton (North Bead was sent off near the end. Two rounds of the competitid remain to be played. Results:— First division: Forresters I North Beach A 2; Gladstone I Pharoahs 1; Avonhead A 3, Col dor 0; Mastagard 2, Provincial 1 Second division: Woolstd Foundry 8. North Beach B 0.
