PA Ashburton The ■ class-three trotter, Aiwa, was sold for $4OOO to I a Dunedin buyer at a dispersal sale of standardbred ■ stock held at Methven. The sale was conducted on: behalf of Mr Harry Harrison, who is retiring from; farming. , j A half-brother to Polight, Aiwa is in full work. Top price at the sale was $5OOO, which was paid for a two-year-old filly by True Averil from Mabalene, aj daughter of New Zealand Cup winner, Loyal Nurse. Mabalene is th« dam of the good winne?. Sunshine Sal. The True Averil filly has been broken in and gaited. M-.balene was sold herself for $l5OO — the same price as outlawed for her half sister With Honours. Eioht of the nine horses ■ offered were sold, the only oassinff being the three-vear-old Johnny Gee-Mabalene welding. Hurricane Harry. He was passed in at $9OO.
