Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Financial Controller manages the Corporation’s accounting, EDP, financial planning, and administration functions. He, or she, is also responsible for ensuring that adequate standards of financial control and reporting are maintained throughout DFC, and that the financial and accounting systems needs of its regional and functional divisions are met. The Financial Controller heads a group of 25 people who handie the Corporation’s centralised accounting functions, utilising an IBM System 34 computer. Other management systems are also computer-based. Administration functions include •management of the Corporation’s office premises and services. Applicants, probably aged 30-40, should be qualified accountants with good commercial and some management experience.
